Printing Presses

81” KBA With In-line UV Coater

The KBAs (also in 64”) are oversized offset presses. They offer the quality, speed and paper handling of an offset press, but at a much larger scale. Perfect for large runs of posters, window graphics, maps, accordion brochures and folding mailers. Beautiful color output and UV coating for high-end rollouts. This is the powerhouse behind a lot of our 3-dimensional display and packaging work.

Durst Lambda

The only true photographic printer, the lambda doesn’t actually “print” at all. Think of it as a giant photograph - photo film is exposed to different levels of light to produce the image. You can print on a variety of substrates, including gloss, matte and metallic photo paper as well as special duratran film which is used for backlit applications. The lambda can be used for small as well as large runs, however the process and films are expensive, so for larger runs digital “imatation” lambda prints may make more sense.

Durst RHO 500R

The Durst Rho 500R produces beautiful images quickly with the ability to print double-sided. Completely VOC-free UV roll ink and a maximum width of 16.4 feet. Perfect for window graphics, outdoor banners, vehicle wraps, mesh...think big! Ask us about our patented system for printing large-scale double-sided window graphics that are the lightest weight and easiest to install in the industry.

Finishing (Bobst Die Cutter)

Move directly from printing to finishing! Large-scale die-cutting capabilities for folders, packaging, 3-dimensional displays and complex mailers. Keep in mind our other special finishing processes including foil-stamping, embossing, debossing, letterpress, engraving, mounting, edge painting/gilding and laser-cutting.

The big bad wolf of standard size litho presses. 8 inks + an inline tower coating system. Traditional offset presses are utilized for brochures, postcards, booklets and even smaller runs of magazines and catalogs. Smaller offset presses are used for stationery, envelopes, and business cards. Coatings range from gloss to satin, dull and soft touch. To use this press effectively, quantities should be at an absolute minimum of 500 pieces, with economic efficiency increasing and unit price dropping as quantities increase.

The HP Indigo is a revolutionary digital press that looks and feels just like offset printing. Unlike traditional digital presses which utilize toner with fuser oil, the Indigo uses ink, which is absorbed into the paper rather than sitting on top. The effect is especially apparent on uncoated and lightly textured stocks. The newest Indigo has inline spot coating capability as well as spot pantone colors. Maximum page size is 12”x18” and efficient quantities range from 1 to 5,000 pieces. Turnaround is very fast.

A revolutionary new offline coater that works on both litho and digitally printed sheets. The Scodix applies a spot coating with variable depth to create subtle or explosive effects depending on your project. Capable of special coatings like glitter and especially helpful for creating textures.

A superwide UV-curing printer containing no VOCs which uses less consumables, produces less waste, uses less energy and can print on recycled and other materials without warping or head strikes. Beautiful image quality with both flatbed and roll-to-roll capability. The Vutek can produce up to 55 4’x8’ boards per hour and delivers 1,000dpi imagery with 3-layer white ink printing. Perfect for POP, window graphics and posters.

The largest of the digital presses - clocking in at a maximum page size of 14.33”x22.5” - the iGen4 allows those just-too-large digital jobs to actually stay on a digital press. Comfortably handles light textures and specialty stocks, and can handle paper weights up to 130lbs. Due to its size the iGen4 does require some more setup than a traditional digital press, so recommended minimum quantity is about 250.
